Hi,

I wanted to get the Verizon iPhone X but I'm on T-Mobile (will switch carriers in a few months). I was wondering if a friend could buy it for me (to get through the checkout process), and if so that leaves me with a bunch of questions:
- Would I be able to swap in my T-Mobile SIM when it arrives?
- Will he need to start using the new SIM that comes with the phone?
- Will he see anything about this first X be registered to his Verizon account if he never powers it on?
- Will he be able to buy another X in a month or so?

Thanks!

Take the SIM out of the phone before you turn it on and destroy it. That's what I did when I had a family member buy one for me. It never registered on his account because I never turned on the phone with the new SIM in it.

We were told by Verizon it is possible. Due to a glitch, we couldn’t order on our phone lines so we ordered on our other lines on the account.
