Friends initials backwards after 2.0?

I upgraded to Watch OS 2.0. When looking at my friends on the Watch, the initials are now showing backwards. What use to be SA is now AS. What use to be UF is now FU. Is there a setting to change this? On my phone (for example, iMessages), people's initials are showing normally. I have the Watch set to mirror the phone on just about all settings.

Try Settings -> Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Contacts -> Display Order. Just a guess, but it seems like the most likely possibility.

Correct, if your phone is set to display Last name first, then with iOS 9/Watch OS2, the friends panel now does the same. You can make the change noted (above) previously or use the Watch.app to set a custom setting under contacts
