Friend's text sent to my iCloud e-mail

For some reason my friend's texts are being sent to my iCloud e-mail from his AT&T e-mail and attached with a txt file of the actual text message. The e-mail is (phonenumber)@mms.att.net. Anyone know why it's doing this? Our conversations are usually sent via iMessage.

My guess is they are texting your email address which is an option.

This would also be my guess. Make sure on your phone you have your email checked as an option to receive imessages from.

Here's an idea: ask your friend.

Looks like sending from a computer and or trying to avoid using their allotted text message limit.
