Hey to all!

Anyone downgrade from 13P to 11P?

I went from 13 Mini to Pro for a bigger screen and the 3 cameras. The battery boost was great also.

Yesterday I used a friends 11Pro and I really enjoyed the 5,8 form factor!

Apple sells the 11P in the refurbished store, but is pretty expensive! 940€ the 256gb (1160€ is the 13Pro 128gb).

I also consider the regular 13, is lighter, but what I like about the 11P is the general size of the phone!

Maybe is a bad move… I know…

😅

11 Pro in Midnight Green was probably peak iPhone. After this they crossed the Rubicon into becoming an unwieldy burden. I‘m a happy 12 Pro owner but the moment it looks like the 13 mini will be withdrawn from sale I will be buying one and keeping it for as long as it works.

As long as you can take the loss, why not. However, I'd be careful if you're throwing away money just based on the size of the other model phone. Sooner or later, you might find yourself missing features exclusive to the 13, or who knows, the 14. ;)

The 11 Pro is a great device. My favorite iPhone to this day. I still have mine, but I’ll have to send it off to my mom as her 7 is on its last leg. I got the 13 Pro and while I like it, (apart from the camera which I detest), I prefer the 11 pro form factor, camera, weight, size, just about everything. I’m actually debating sending my mom the 13 instead. My 11 pro is several years old and going as strong as ever.

The two big things you’d be missing from going to 11P would be 6GB RAM vs 4GB and the ProMotion.
The jump to 6GB has been one of the reasons I upgraded my 11P. Every time I opened the Camera app, Safari would reload along with most other apps.
And as convenient as it was from me handling my 11P I’ve had it slip out of my hands multiple times. While the 13P has been a less than optimal experience holding it in one hand, it’s been less slippery. Haven’t dropped it nearly as much. Took me a while to get used to the extra weight from the Aluminum to Steel transition though.

Good point! I didn't think of that; I have the 13P for 6 months now so maybe I got used to this too.

Thanks,

I like the 13P cameras, or maybe you are talking about the bump on the back on the phone...

Y prefer the 11P but 940€ is too much when is near 3 generations old. I can look for used ones on the market, but I prefer having some warranty...

The cameras on the 11P are better, IMO. Real-world use, I can point and shoot and get a great picture almost every single time with the 11P. One out of every 30-40 on the 13P is acceptable.

But, in your case if budget is an issue and the 13P will last you longer and is not that much more expensive, it may make more sense for you to get it.

I already have the 13P ;)

No problems with the camera! great pics out from the 13P, without so much effort.

I considered doing the same thing you are. Basically on the size alone. 5.8 was the sweet spot for me (I have relatively small hands) - the X was the perfect size. I held out until the 12 series came out and went with a 12 pro from there. Sort of regret not getting the 11 Pro when it came out because I'd probably still be using it today.

Want a Mini, but might be just a tad too small. I've also had the luxury of a telephoto lens which I actually use a decent amount over the past 5 years or so. Not to mention the standard series since the 11 or so has some weird reaction to regular lights (ceiling lights and such). I've taken the same pictures as friends at weddings and what not, and if there's any sort of chandelier or bright light source, its almost as if the light smears across where the light is coming from. With my 12 pro, this doesnt happen at all.

I could probably live without a telephoto, but the light fragments are worse on the non pro models.

So basically, if I could get an 11 pro as a refurb for a price that made sense I would. But Apple is charging WAY Too much for them.

Totally...

I can sell the 13P for 850/900€; so it´s like a swap; but swapping with a 3 years old model pulls me back...

I have a 13 Pro and previously had the 11 Pro. (Also had the 12 Pro.) The 11 Pro was my favorite iPhone ever, and in hindsight I would have been happy to hold on to it instead of 'upgrading' the past two years. However, I personally wouldn't downgrade at this point. Too much sunk cost, and I would miss the camera/photographic styles and display. But I absolutely get where you're coming from. If I had an 11 Pro just lying around there's a good chance I'd throw my SIM in it.

hahaha exactly, now with the 14 in the near future... paying that much for the 11 is absurd. I think I would miss some 13´s features also.
