Well I checked iP5S in Apple store and left unimpressed. Anyway I was not planning to upgrade.

Also my Jailbreak is too valuable to me.

+1.

I upgraded from the 5 to the 5S. I'm a geek who needs to always be experimenting with the newest stuff (I have a feeling lots of people here are), but if you don't have the constant itch, skip this generation if you have a 5. I have had every iPhone thus far, and outside of TouchID, this one is the smallest step up from the previous model yet.

I think iPhone 4S was a far smaller step the speed difference and camera difference were not significant and Siri was **** and unreliable compared to now.

I haven't got my 5S yet but am upgrading from 5, I am more excited about this one - new colour options so it actually feels like a new phone two physical changes (flash and home button) the 4S was pretty much the same as 4 in looks (except an antenna line in a different place) Touch ID looks like it works well unlike Siri - the camera improvements from iPhone 5 to iPhone 5S are way bigger than iPhone 4 to 4s IMO.

I am sure the speed difference from iPhone 5 to 5S is just as small step as 4 to 4S - 64bit is cool but can't imagine it making any difference yet.

But overall can't wait for my 5S to arrive!

For me, the Sony PS4 is a much bigger leap from the PS3 than iPhone 5s is to iPhone 5. For this reason, I am not upgrading and will upgrade my PS3 with the money this year.

Went head-to-head with a guy a car wash just now waiting for our cars -- 5C vs. 5S, both ATT, both new...

Loading some 20+ different websites it went back & forth evenly as which finished first. The only "trend" we could identify is the 5S loaded really complicated looking pages a tick faster, while the 5C was quicker on the simpler looking ones. Neither won by more than a second -- it was done, done every time.

For me the camera is amazing. Now I'm coming from a 4s, so I can't compare. But that's something to think about.

My iphone is my main camera/camcorder and the 5s is pretty dang good.

I estimate I've put in my passcode at least 50 times per day over the last year. That is 18250 times at 2 seconds each (including the swipe). If my math is correct that is over 10 hours. The id is worth it enough for me. .

The thing about adding up "saved time" and looking at it as whole is really misleading. It's really a meaningless statistic. If you took one less minute in the shower per day, you'd save around 8hrs over a year long period. It makes no sense to look back at the end of the year saying "oh no I was in the shower for 8 unnecessary hours!"

The touch ID isn't instant, it still takes a little over a second to go from screen off to unlocked phone. You're probably not saving much time at all.

I upgraded from a 16gb 5 to 64gb 5s because I wasn't able to store anything on my 5. Other than that , while the new camera and touch ID are nice, and it feels good to have a clean unscratched iPhone again, there really isn't much difference. Although the Space grey stands out much more than the slate. Maybe throughout the year the 5s will come into its own when apps that are designed to take advantage of the technologies in it are released.
