6月15日以降、Microsoft Outlook、Mozilla Thunderbirdなどの他社製Appや、Apple製ではないメール、連絡先、カレンダーのサービスからiCloudデータにアクセスするには、App用のパスワードが必要になります。
すでにApple IDの主要パスワードを使って他社製Appにサインインしている場合は、この変更時に自動的にサインアウトされます。その際は、App用パスワードを作成し、サインインし直すことが必要になります。
App用パスワードを作成するには、Apple IDの2ファクタ認証を有効にして、以下の手順を実行してください。
• Apple IDアカウントページにサインインする（https://appleid.apple.com）
• 「セキュリティ」の「App用パスワード」を開く
• 「パスワードの作成」をクリックする

Basically, third party apps (such as Microsoft Outlook, Mozilla Thunderbird will not be able to use Apple ID password to login and receive email. They must use an app specific password in order to login and continue receiving email.
This app specific password can be generated when two factor authentication is enabled. Steps are;
1. Log into https://appleid.apple.com
2. Choose "security" and then "app specific password"
3. Then click "create password".
Google has enabled two factor authentication long long ago but for simplicity I always enable "insecure client" so that I can use just password to do so. Guess this time I must say goodbye to iCloud mailbox on Microsoft outlook, and do everything on either iPhone or Mac. Microsoft outlook cannot pull iCloud calendar either.
