From a resale perspective, Which one is better to get unlocked?

Hello,
So this fall I am buying a 16GB White and a 64GB Black iPhone 5S or whatever they call it this year, both with AppleCare+. Now, both of them will be resold in 2014 and one of them I am buying unlocked, the question is, from a resale perspective, which one is better to buy unlocked. Either way the cost ends up being the same, so which one could fetch more when it is time to resell?

From past experience, the 32GB and 64GB models don't go for much more on CL or eBay unless their sealed in their original packaging. I'd buy the 16GB unlocked if I were you because your not going to get that much more for the 64GB. People want to pay the absolute lowest price nowadays.

Just sold my 64GB 5 for $690, I would think the unlocking would make it sell a lot faster

I'm still looking for an answer in regards to which one is better to buy unlocked, another thing is, will the 5S be available unlocked from day 1, mostly because the launch is a little different than it was a year ago

An unlocked used device will obviously net you more cash than a used locked version. This I can assure you.

The 16GB, unlocked will most likely get you the best resale value.

I'm going to go against the grain here and say "it depends". On what? Well, if they drop the 16gb base. It's getting a little long in the tooth, admittedly.
