So I picked up the power support anti-glare when I got my iPhone.
Actually, the anti-glare was the only one in stock at the apple store,
so I put it on, "what... it's matte? oh.. it says anti-glare.. duh!"

Great.. no finger prints... but I decided to switch to the power support
crystal film to mimic the original design with the glass on top of the
screen and although I am now battling finger prints, smudges, and
glare... I do enjoy the extra bit of clarity over the anti-glare.

Just preferences... wanted to share I'm one of those that started
out anti-glare but now am back to the shiny world.

As long as it's an iPhone....

I had the anti-glare for a few days and didn't care for it. It did keep the fingerprints away, but I also thought it made the display look slightly grainy and out-of-focus. Now I just go naked.

And, how would you compare 'naked' with a screen protector?? Heard a lot that the glass does not get scratched n stuff.... how has your experience been so far??

Also, does the clear screen protector actually get more finger prints than just having the screen naked??

I picked up the anti-glare and I'm going to have to take it back. I couldn't get it installed without air bubbles and I tried for 2 hours. The crystal support I had before the anti-glare installed no problem... I was looking forward to the no finger prints / smudges though.

I'm the OP of this thread, and I've used both.

My personal opinion is as follows:

Anti-glare:
* Oil/finger/face smears are no longer an issue.
* Keeps you from keep having to wipe down the screen.
* Trade-off is (to my eyes) the screen looks a little grainy
and just a TINY bit out of focus (refering to txt letters)
and screen little washed out when outdoors and the sun
shinning down on you.

Original Crytal:
* A completely transparent protective layer on top of glass.
* Text letters are back to original sharpness, great contrast
since there are no graininess.
* Trade-off is you still have to keep wiping oil smudges off
the front of the screen.

It's the same as glossy vs. matte screen on the Apple laptops.

It's down to personal preference.

I'm getting tired of having to wipe down the screen, so I may
go back to anti-glare, and when I get tired of the little extra
graininess, I will come back to the crystal.

HTH.

I have the anti-glare and I think I will make the switch to the crystal film. I also feel the anti-glare makes some of the dark scenes in movies appear with "negative black" where that didn't happen before I installed the film.
