From Catalina to Ventura

I recently updated a MacBook Air from Catalina to Ventura 13.6.1 because it won't update to sedoma? and I can't find XProtect and mrt where they use to be located. Does this mean this MacBook is not protected anymore? and also I just found out that it didn't update to 13.6.2. any reason why? thank you in advance.
