i am using a PowerPC G4 (OS 10.2.8) and I like to upgrade to the latest machine, the Mac Pro (Leopard OS) but i have a few concerns:

Q! - can the following softwares be installed without any problems: Illustrator CS2, Photoshop CS2, InDesign CS2, Freehand MX, Microsoft Office X and Suitcase 10. Will my versions work in Mac Pro (Leopard OS)?

Can my monitor - Apple Studio Display 17" LCD be connected to the new Mac Pro? I would like to cut the cost of getting a new monitor.

Thank you!

i don't know if leopard supports that software as i haven't switched to it yet but the 17" cinema display uses the ADC connector. so you will need to buy an adapter as they are quite expensive(probably cheaper to buy a new 19" lcd instead😛) as that monitor had a one cable connection that carried both data and power.

Illustrator CS2 will crash on you a lot – a glitch that was never patched. CS2 it's not optimised for Intel (runs through emulation) you'd be best off buying an upgrading to CS3.
