Good for you! That is how we all learn.... and the true is, the X is the new face of apple, it's modern, sleek, unknown, sexy, and different - hence all of these post... sometimes you just gotta dive in a try!

I've switched to the X but I am looking forward to next year and am hoping for X Plus. Then im totally happy 🙂

It's good you went with your gut here and went back to the X. You should be happy with your choice as iPhone's are expensive. The gesture UI is one of my favorite things about the X. I tried using my 7 Plus after a weekend with the X and it felt very dated.

Exactly my thoughts as well. Biggest change for me since 2007. I love it.
The same device you used about a year, suddenly looks dated after using X for few days?

Well I felt the 7 Plus looked a little dated when I bought it, but it was my best option on my platform of choice. But yes, after holding and using the X, my 7 Plus felt fat, the chins very outdated, and the home button felt like a step back from the gestures I had become used to. The gestures are really fun to use and have been the biggest positive change for me since my first iPhone (2007).

I still have some time but I am pretty convinced I will be staying with the 8 Plus. Now that said, I am 6'8" tall so my hands are pretty large. I can one-hand the plus when I imagine majority cannot. In the end, the width of the 8 plus and much of the video I watch being 16:9 are the deciding factors. But I agree with you, the X is definitely the more exciting phone. The smaller size is great, the gestures are so smooth, and the screen is beautifully bright yet maintaining gorgeous deep blacks. The aspect ratio is the ONLY thing that holds me back, but it happens to be a big thing for me personally.

Loving tech so much, particularly iPhones, I am saddened that for the next 12 months I will likely only be reading about the X. While I feel the 8 Plus is a very polished refinement of the dying design, I know that it is now forgotten. From here on out, articles are going to be X oriented and that bums me out lol.

I totally get that. I mainly upgraded to the Plus size for the better quality screen, more RAM, and the camera improvements. Now that it has all come to a smaller size, it's a win win for me. The 8 Plus is still a great phone, just a little long in the tooth. I am sure you'll be upgrading to the X Plus next year.
