iPhone 15 Pro Max Front camera on iPhone 15 Pro Max has bad quality

Has anyone else noticed the low quality selfies taken on the 15 pro/ pro max?

When you take a selfie and view it, notice that for 1-2 seconds the quality is bad then it gets enhanced or something.

Yeah, it takes some seconds to process the image, as with the back cameras. Then quality is fantastic.

That’s the Deep Fusion algorithm using the neural engine to enhance details and textures in the image. The process was introduced on the iPhone 11 Pro and takes 1-2 seconds to complete. That is why the image looks low quality for a moment until the final image pops in once the processing is done.
