Hi all,

I haven’t yet braved the Ventura beta install.

Can anyone test/tell me whether the front facing camera of your iPhone can be used with the new continuity camera feature.

I appreciate the rear facing camera offers significantly better performance but I have my phone screen facing me, attached to a charging stand in my desk setup and so wondered whether the front facing camera can be used?

Thanks in advance.

Rear camera only. You could do something fancy with mirrors 😁

I’m working from home today boss…

ps. Thanks for confirming.

I’d like to revisit this idea, especially in light of the new iOS StandBy mode coming in iOS 17.

Does anyone have 3rd party suggestions to allow Continuity Camera to use the front camera? Ideally I could put my iPhone on a wireless charger stand under my monitor, utilize StandBy mode, and also activate Continuity Camera when necessary while not having to move/reconfigure the iPhone.

In order for an app to work, the phone would need to be unlocked and the app running. I think that would turn off the Standby mode.
