I read this as an after thought on another thread, but I think it deserves its own thread.

Why is there no more support for airtunes inside of front row?

or am I wrong and it is supported and I just cant see it? Please let this be the issue...

if not, is anybody up to hacking it?

You're not wrong. It currently is not supported in Leopard 😱
On the bright sight, Front Row is a lot more 'mature' and a real player by itself, no longer a simple front-end for iTunes/iPhoto.

I've read on a different forum that Apple is aware of the issue and will possibly fix it in a future update, but it won't hurt to tell them and make them 'more' aware, as I did:

In the meantime you could try 'AirFoil', but it's not the same:

I agree this really stinks. I used to use Front Row to run my music through my receiver in the living room. It was much easier to use the iMac at a distance on my couch if I just wanted to listen to music. Now it does not work anymore. So much for progress.😕

I suppose I will have to send an email to Apple as well. I hope for a quick fix, but I am sure it is way down on the list. The ability of using my iMac as a music player for my living room was one of my favorite features of Front Row...and now it's gone! Way to go Apple...thanks!

I;m actually happy for this now.......

This made me finally hook up my computer to my system directly, and the only cable that I had was Digital audio, and with a direct hook up, it sounds amazing via digital
