Well Got my MacBook Pro today. Nice. This is my first Mac. Getting use to one mouse button and the apple key, interesting. So I hooked up my TV via the DVI port and automatically the apple background shows up. Nice. Windows, I would have had to restart. Anyways, I open Front Row and the external screen goes black. I did a search and someone mentioned you would not see the menu bar, but I would not expect I could not control front row from the second screen. That is a bit of a bummer. So I continued to read, and someone mentioned to set the external as primary. I do not see that option. I went to the display settings on preference and I can detect the second screen and change the resolution but nothing about primary/secondardry. Looking for assistance. In the mean time, I change the setting to do mirror and that works, but that limits the resolution on the external device.

Did you drag the menubar over to the other screen?

(when you are in displays and it has both monitors represented side-by-side, you drag the toolbar (as represented) to the other screen.)

Does that make sense? (Not the actual toolbar.)

Maybe someone else can explain better, if I had two monitors on my computer I'd give you a screenshot...
