will front row play the AC3 tracks from apple TV files through the optical connector on my MBP for dolby digital sound?

I've been trying to figure this out for ages... i haven't gotten it to work, and it doesn't appear to me that quicktime supports AC3, but i keep hearing contradictory reports.. So, I'll be interested to see any responses to this thread.
