I have a mac mini, with no IR port. I bought the apple universal dock, is it possible for me to use the ir port on the universal dock to control frontrow using my already purchased apple remote? im willing to goto some pretty far extents to get this setup to work, any suggestions, I hope so

No, its not.

Sorry to burst your bubble, buddy, but apparently its only an IR-receiver as far as the iPod (there is nothing inside it to transmit the IR signals down the Dock cable, they go straight into the Dock, then the iPod - very simply said)

You can buy a Keyspan remote, that works - they even offer the supported software/firmware themselves. Maybe you could look into buying the Keyspan remote and receiver, then using the Apple remote with it :confused:
