I just purchesed a 1080P LCD television and am using it as an external monitor for my macbook pro. I have my itunes pointing to a large capacity external hard drive and want to use frontrow to display my itunes content on my LCD television. Everything works fine but for some reason frontrow keeps crashing. It works 70% of the time, but often times it hangs when I am pulling up a movie, or when I am trying to exit a movie to pull up another one. Anyone else with this problem? Otherwise the MPB is very stable.

Thanks

That's fairly odd. I've had a couple problems with Front Row, but nothing recurring or recent.

Can you open up Console and look at the Front Row crash log and copy/paste what it says when it dies? That might give some clues.

Im still waiting for an update so i can use frontrow to play music on my external speakers. Itunes only plays from my computer speakers for some reason. Very frustrating since this is why i got an airport express

I'm having almost the exact same problem, although i am not using an external HDD. The crash happens randomly. The screen freezes but the song will continue playing. if you click pause on the remote the song will stop but you cannot restart it again. Clicking the menu button or using the keyboard to try and close it will cause the screen to go black but sometimes it flashes back to the song you were last playing.
I've not found any way of closing front row when this happens and the only way out is to do a manual restart.

You mentioned getting the crash report from terminal.. how would i go about that?
