Frount row slow

does anyone find frount row takes ages sometimes? sometimes its starts working and sometimes it just crash's my mbp

is this normal?

That's definitaly weird. I've never had a problem with Front Row. Have you repiared permssions? Do you have any sort of hacks applied to Front Row?

ive got a few codecs installed so i can play my other movie files, but this problem was about befor i installed them

How long ago did you start having problems? Was it right after a software update?

i bought it refub in january.

And you've had problems since then? I am totally at a loss then. You could try an archive and install. If that doesn't work, take it to a genius bar or call Apple support. Other than that, I really don't know how to help you at this point. Sorry.

Depending on the speed of your internet connection and how well your MBP connects the issue may be the Theatrical Trailers section is trying to buffer some videos.

You can disable these trailers (and speed things up a bit) by following this tip:
