Frozen Home Button

My iphone3 is suffering repeated frozen Home button , letting me unable to return back to the main Menu, unable to leave the current screen! Any help please?!
 
My phone does that from time to time. I dont have a fix for it but have a work around. I set an action in activator to act as home button for now.
