I love melon mmm...
and pineapple, strawberries, lemons and of course;

The Tomato!

I don't like passion fruit, mangoes or guavas...

I like all fruits, dont hate any other than I avoid apples bec I get a bad sugar crash from them.

What sucks I eat strawberries on weekends because I am allergic to the skin. I break out in a nasty rash.

LOVE mangoes and pineapple. I like most of the common ones too

HATE melon, watermelon, grapefruit

ew!...but kinda hot.

BTW, I hav an "adverse reaction" to pineapple. Apparently, you can't be allergic to pineapple but it causes my lips to be numb for 24 hours and my throat to swell up. That's only with the fresh stuff. But I can't die, so I'll keep on eating.

But my favorites are: a good strawberry, good raspberries, pineapple, non-red-delicious apples, and seedless grapes.

I haven't tried too many exotic fruits. Anyone know what that south american fruit is that kinda smells like pennies/batteries? It's way gross.

Are you talkin about durians? They're spiky on the outside and fleshy yellow on the inside. My mom loves this stuff, smells like old garbage though. It stinks up the house when she eats it.

Hmmm... Can you really hate a certain fruit? Even if it was deadly to you, it's not the fruit's fault you are allergic to it. I think dislike would be a more suitable word. Even if someone you dearly loved slipped on a banana peel and broke their leg, you can't hold that one peel accountable for all bananas.
You can certaintly love fruit though. It's nutritious, and tastes good.

Love;
Mangoes
Strawberries
Pineapple

Dislike:
Papaya
Durian

[*]Hate hate hate hate hate hate bananas!

i have a love-hate relationship with bananas. i love them alone, cut up in pancakes (my fav) or in banana nut bread, but that's about it. i can't stand them in my cereal, my smoothies or anywhere else. yuck, yuck, yuck!

Not alot of love for pears in this thread, so I'll spread my love for it on here. Bananas are great too.

I HATE cantaloupe. It's quite disguisting. Apples as well especially the spicy kind. ;)

Persimmons. Mmmmm...
Yet nobody around me seems to know what they are (and if they do, they don't know how to eat them, since the stores sell them pre-frost and hard).

I also love Pomegranates. Mangos are good too :) And watermelons. Especially in Italy.

Don't like papaya's. But other than that, I love most fruits.

From Wikipedia:
Travel and food writer Richard Sterling says:

“ ... its odor is best described as pig-****, turpentine and onions, garnished with a gym sock. It can be smelled from yards away. Despite its great local popularity, the raw fruit is forbidden from some establishments such as hotels, subways and airports, including public transportation in Southeast Asia.[14] ”
The unusual odour has prompted many people to search for an accurate description. Comparisons have been made with the civet, sewage, stale vomit, skunk spray, and used surgical swabs"

So yea...that sounds about right.

love:
pineapples, peaches, green grapes, watermelon, figs (!), nectarines, all berries, some pears

hate:
canteloupe and honeydew (YECH!)

There aren't too many fruits that I've tried and disliked (not a huge fan of pomegranates), but my favorites are:

Strawberry
Mango
Peach
Watermelon
Apple (not so much the deep red ones)

All fruit is good, but it's rare these days to find an excellent specimen, especially of berries.

I've quite taken to the Ambrosia apple grown here in BC (in the fall—they're still selling them now but all apples have seriously diminished by this time of year.

My favorite fruit is probably honeydew. A good honeydew is juicy, really sweet, and tangy. Once again... most of the melons in the grocery store are practically tasteless. :(

How can some of you not love papaya? That just boggles my mind!

Has anyone tried dragon fruit? It has an exotic light, airy texture and the seeds taste like poppy seeds. These are really abundant in tropical climates and ripen all-season. I had the pleasure of visiting a dragon fruit orchard and got to harvest some.

I really don't hate any fruit.

Darn, now I'm hungry. :(
