So I have always sync'd with iTunes for photos. But Im now getting an ipad pro and want to be able to dynamically edit and sync images between my ipad, iphone, and macbook pro. I can't for the life of me get photos working properly to sync with icloud! I turned on icloud sync on photos on my iphone, and it deleted the itunes sync'd photos (which was fine). I turn on icloud photo library on my macbook pro and it LOOKS like it's about to upload everything to the icloud library... says there are like 1300 items... which is correct, but then after taking forever (thinking it uploaded them all) then it goes back to the initial screen on photos, showing nothing. Nothing was uploaded. (confirmed by the web app) However it DID download the camera roll photos from my iphone. So then, I thought I'd do it the other way around. I manually uploaded everything and created new albums on photos on icloud (using the web app since the photos app it not working quite right yet). My iPhone DID download ALL these albums and photos automatically! Yay! But the macbook pro, again when I turn on the icloud photos library, again it looks like its doing something but it doesn't sync with whats on the icloud photos. Instead it tried uploading some folders I have not seen in ages! Net step, I noticed I still had an old iphoto library file in the photos folder on my mac. Thought that was the issue, deleted it. Tried again. Nope. Deleted the photos library file. Ceated a brand new one, made that one the system one, and tried to sync again with the icloud photos library. Again... nothing! Do I just have to resign to not using the photos app on my macbook pro?? what am I doing wrong??
