Frustrations! (iPhone 16 Pro diagnostics and sync issues)

Trying to connect to my Mac mini to sync songs. First, it was stuck on ""Copying diagnostic Information" and now it's stuck on "Canceling sync". This has been going for HOURS. What is the solution?

I use iTunes Match... for $25/year I no longer have to sync.
