I'm having a devil of a time figuring this out. My son and I have Cyberduck and Transmit. My son wants to D/L some stuff from my computer. He can't sem to be able to connect with mine, no matter what we do. FTP access, File Sharing, everything seems to be set up properly. We keep getting an error about login name or password. I have read the getting started and easy start programs but I don't understand where we are going wrong. We must be inserting the wrong info, but are completely lost and confused. Is there a walk through somewhere? The directions aren't helping.

If both the computers are running OS X and your son has an account on your computer you can just use Apple File Sharing to transfer the files.

Are you both on the same local (wired or wireless) network?

Assuming you are:

Transmit:
Server: local IP address for your computer.
User Name: User for an account on your computer.
Password: Password for that user on your computer.
Initial Path: Unneeded
Port: Should be 21.
Protocol: FTP

FTP Access should be turned on for your computer.
