ftp is slow on my mac

Hi, I have a problem.

im using max osx tiger v10.4.11
vmare Version 1.1.2 (87978)

and this is my problem
when im downloading from ftp either with cyberduck (on my mac)
or flashfxp (when using vmare)
my ftp going slow (0-10 kb)

when im using my pc its goes ok (around 400k per second) so i know its not a connection problem or the ftp that goes slow.

when im downloading from any other site (http) it goes ok as well
so its only ftp setting problem
if anyone can help me please do it.
