FTP problems, can't get directory list

Only on the Mac, my ftp client goes through the motions of logging in to the server, but when it goes to list the contents of the remote directory, I get this:

425 Could not open data connection to port 1206: Connection refused

Several different servers, all the same problem, but only on the mac. I can connect fine on all my PCs.

Help?!?!?

try using Cyberduck it is free and works great. I have never had problems with it. http://cyberduck.ch/

Thanks 🙂 . I did use that first, but I'm so used to using cuteFTP on my PCs, it's hard to use anything else. I did change it from PORT to PASV mode, though, and it seems to be okay now.
