I'm trying to set up FTP file sharing on my Mac (10.5), so that someone on another Mac (running Tiger) can FTP into my public folder, and read/write files to it.

I'm having some trouble though - he gets the Username/Password dialog box up, and puts the username/pw in for the account I created for him, and it thinks a bit, then just says it can't connect.

Can anyone help?

Funnily enough I am having the exact same problem. Can anyone here shed any light?

Edit:
The person connecting to my Mac is using OS 10.5 though.

ya I'm having the same problem. I opened up port 21 as well and I still get the login or password problem. any ideas on what I might need to do to fix this? Thanks for the help:apple:
