FTP Server in Leopard

I'm trying to set up FTP file sharing on my Mac (10.5), so that someone on another Mac (running Tiger) can FTP into my public folder, and read/write files to it.

I'm having some trouble though - he gets the Username/Password dialog box up, and puts the username/pw in for the account I created for him, and it thinks a bit, then just says it can't connect.

Can anyone help?

Funnily enough I am having the exact same problem. Can anyone here shed any light?

The person connecting to my Mac is using OS 10.5 though.

ya I'm having the same problem. I opened up port 21 as well and I still get the login or password problem. any ideas on what I might need to do to fix this? Thanks for the help
