I connected to my server via the finder "Connect to Server" and was trying to upload my files when i got the error message "The time "..file" could not be moved because "mysite.com" cannot be modified."

I tried changing permissions via the TERMINAL using ftp and chmod (set it to 777) but it doesn't work still.

When I do it thru dreamweaver, it works. Also, with rbrowserlite. But I'd really like to get this thing working via the FINDER.

One last thing, I read a hint about creating a ftpd.conf file in /etc directory. Problem is, finder won't let me change anything in the /etc directory.

I am the owner and adminstrator of the computer and logged in as such.

Thanks for all the help in advance

Isn't FTP still completely broken in the Finder?

FYI, you should be using a command line editor and "sudo" to edit files in /etc. Or you can try "Pseudo" (an application) to authenticate as root and edit in the GUI.
