it keeps coming up with remote host has changed when i have done it right because i need to restore the phone service

You need to delete the known_hosts file.

Execute this in Terminal:

rm ~/.ssh/known_hosts

Hi i have performed this steps on severl ocassion but i still ant connect it keeps on telling me timed out.

but my pc does connect with iphone fine.

If it helps i using Leopard OSX
