Since the upgrade to Lion I can't access nor back-up my iMac to the Time Machine drive. I can still see the NAS server with all the drives, so it finds it but when I enter Time Machine it returns the following error:

People here having similar issues?

Same here. When Time Machine tries to backup, it returns an error every time. I tried to enter Time Machine and my MacBook Pro is stuck in the Time Machine.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPod; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_2_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8C148 Safari/6533.18.5)

It needs netatalk version 2.2b4 or later installed. Best course of action is to wait for a firmware/software update.

Really annoying. I hope it will be fixed soon.

You should contact your has vender and ask them to supply an update to add support for Lion. No all NAS venders are promising such an update. What is that they say the squeaky wheel gets the grease?

Okay, so it seems that QNap already has the software/firmware ready. You can download it from their website. However, I can't find anything on the Fujitsu website regarding new firmware.

This is my NAS server: https://globalsp.ts.fujitsu.com/dmsp/docs/ds-celvin-nas-server-q700.pdf

From QNap, this model resembles the most to the Fujitsu Q700. Also the software/interface is pretty much identical. http://www.qnap.com/pro_detail_hardware.asp?p_id=192

Can I download QNap firmware for my Fujitsu NAS? Is it safe?
Here is a link: http://www.qnap.com/download_description.asp?pl=1&p_mn=192&d_id=86647 (3.4.4 Build0718)

Fujitsu NAS firmware: 3.3.9 Build 0120T
