There has been a few people from Europe saying they have the same issue, it has to be something with the phone. It's just really odd that late at night I have no problems on 3g
what site should I use to check my speed
It is really odd. My speeds are back to normal for now...
3.25 Mbps down
1.62 Mbps Up
Odd indeed. In the past few days, I have noticed that during the daytime, the speeds are terrible, ranging from 0 - 3000 with an average of 200ish, but during the late night (11:30PM-3AM) the speeds are normal to very fast 3000+ down. Don't know what this means, but it is surely peculiar.
Count me in too from Northern Virginia
I have to enable edge from like noon time until 7PM to actually use my phone
This is all very interesting though and I cant believe there are so many NOVA people on Macrumors!I will update tomorrow regarding speeds.... This is all very weird
I just got off the phone with Apple where I talked to 2 people a CSR and then his manager. I told them that I did all the troubleshooting steps so the manager then put me on hold to call AT&T because it might be their network. After 10 minutes in hold, he comes back and then say that AT&T told him that their network is fine. So I am not sure if going to my apple store will fix anything at this point ? AT&T says: it's hardware and then apple says: it's the network
Guess who's stuck in the middle of this?? us !!!!
Got bunch of screen caps of no response with 5 bars.
Going to Reston store tomorrow to have it checked out.
Must be why I had to wait in line for 12 hours.
Here is a potential fix:

It is the story of another user on here who had this issue on his iPhone 4 resolved. I am going to be calling AT&T tomorrow to try it out.
Where were all you guys on launch day? When I mentioned macrummors while in line everyone looked at me like I was an alien
I'm in the Lehigh Valley as well and I'm experiencing the same for about two days now! Sometimes it's fine and blazing fast and other times I can't get anything to load... All of this is with full bars and 3G! It's gotta be AT&Ts network.... So annoying because I'm stuck on wifi if I want to actually do anything on the phone!
I'm really starting to think that this isn't even an AT&T problem as people in various other countries are seeing this crop up as well. This happens to me all the time, at least once a day. I wonder why I pay for AT&T... Good thing I have a Sprint OverDrive for when that does happen.
I posted this earlier but everybody mad at AT&T is wrong i hale this same provlem here in Germany on tmobile or telekom.de network here in Germany.
Phone problem for sure!
I'll try this way too. We do NOT have AT&T here and we have this problem!

Seems like a firmware problem.
Take a look at this video posted earlier...

3GS has no problem, i4 won't connect. This is exactly what I've seen. If it were AT&T both phones would stall out.
I forgot, do you have your 3g(s) still? And did you get data successfully with that?
