People with that degree would make about $4K a month in the industry tops. So... how would you pay back that loan? by living with your parents during that time?

$4k tops? I'm the TV and film industry as a lighting programmer and make over $8k a month if I work every week day (plus benefits). I would think an editor for anything outside of used car commercials should do at least as well, but I could be wrong.

I sometimes work with Full Sail graduates, most are fairly worthless. In my line of work they'd be better off by working as a grunt and buying books from Amazon. In the same amount of time they could learn the same stuff, get real world experience, make connections in the industry and stay debt free.

From my experience, most think they are going to graduate Full Sail and be Taylor Swift's sound guy or Lady Gaga's lighting designer.

That is what Full Sail "sales", but I remember back in the 90's a guy who was mixing an album, his name was Javier and the studio was Anides Sonido, the album came out out with the right channel of phase!!!! everything was canceling itself. Still, the amount of money they are asking is not realistic with the field, not to mention you leave Full Sails having a "taste" of everything and now you really have to learn to use Photoshop good or any software for real.

I find it hard to believe that it would be possible to get a quality undergraduate degree in one year, much less a master's degree.

BTW, my master's degree took 4 years and was a full time job-generally 50 or more hours a week.
