So i updated to beta 4 a couple hours ago and I've noticed now that when I 3D touch on the send button to enter full screen effects, it's no longer working? I know its not a sensitivity issue where i might not be pressing hard enough because all my other 3D touch functions work just fine. Is anyone else having this issue?

Works for me, and I have the same phone as you. Though I did update from Public Beta 2 to Dev Beta 4. Make sure you are testing it with someone on iMessage, as SMS does not support this feature.

Did you have a name in the 'to' field? Doesn't work without one

Yes. I was trying to enter the full screen effects with everyone on iMessage. I also updated from PB2 to DB 4.

Yes, of course. I am trying to send messages in conversations that already established and still no go.

Won't work if you have Reduce Motion on. I turned it off and now works again.

I'm not sure why that would be switched. Reduce motion was put there for users who would experience vertigo or feel sick from the motions in iOS. the full screen motion effects still fall under that category.

Oddly enough the reduce motion feature became adopted as the "speed up my old iPhone" Toggle by many people.

Because it did speed up the iPhone.

But, I'm glad to see that after turning it off, the animations in general seem to have sped up a lot in iOS 10.

    Welcome!
I hope so too, I prefer it to be on for battery purposes.

I agree it's a motion type item in iOS, but there should probably be an option to just turn off a lot of these new "rich" iMessage features that Apple has forced into the app with the upcoming strings of software for it's hardware.

why do you need to turn them off? is it impossible for you to just... not use the features? they're hardly intrusive.

Seems like the reduce motion option is the way (so far).

    Bingo.

Most people should NOT be using this feature.

Uh, because its not meant to be a "fix the animation speed toggle"?
It's a "Reduce Motion" toggle, for people that are susceptible to motion sickness and vertigo.

And if people who just don't like or care about animations use it, or people use it because they like the effect it has?

He's right though. The intent for the toggle is for something else and only got turned into something else by picky users who don't like 3 frames dropped to "speed" up the phone by removing animations. Just because some people use it for one thing doesn't take away it's original purpose and reasons for being there in the first place.

Of course it doesn't take away or change the original/actual reason for the option. At the same time it doesn't mean that someone can't use it for any other reasons that work for them (for whatever reason that might be).
