Fake or not...I still love the excitement!!

If it does have software like front row...I'm all over it:D

What's "The Stars" mean:confused:

EDIT: nevermind...the invite..."It's Showtime."

The stars are obviously the new iPod and the new iMac...duhhh.

100% fake. Look at this horrible photoshopping:

Many Faults to This...

1) If you look at the "new" iPod, the shadow underneath the iPod is straight, while the actual picture is leaning to the right.

2) The pictures and text on the Front Row are not aligned.

3) The screen is not distributed evenly throughout the bezel of the case on the iPod.

4) "the stars" is straight, not wavy like the rest of the banner.

5) The Apple logo looks like it's about to fall off the banner.

I deem the picture a fake. I give props though to the creator for fooling us.

why would the iMac be a star? It was updated last week, and all the people who will be paying attention to the event will know that. It would be pointless to re-introduce a piece of hardware that people already have on their desks...

also notice how the front row icons aren't reflected in the image below the device.

i've been waiting to upgrade my pod, so i'm eager for some new hardware, but until tuesday, i'm wary of everything.

it's a fake; why would there be a dvd icon on the "frontrow" interface? you're telling me an iPod will play dvd's? if they were ripped dvd's, or downloaded; they'd be in the movie folder. The dvd category is strictly for playing physical dvd's, and last I checked, a dvd is a good deal too large for an iPod

thats exactly what i was going to say!

I just spoke to a friend who said he has held a prototype which looked EXACTLY like the thing in the picture here.

It was just a physical mock-up but it was identical.

He has just gone to bed, though.

I have a friend who has a case of 6G ipods in the trunk of his Dodge Dart. It uses a 500 GB holographic storage device and is screen-printed onto a lithium-polymer film so that it can be rolled up like a piece of paper. Its kind of cool but I don't think anybody will buy it -- there's no FM tuner for cryin out loud.

A possibility there's the iDVD thing on there is that it can be incorporated with the Video-Airport thing and play the DVD from a certain computer. Unlikely, but possible.

THAT is a lie and totally out of the realm of possibility...at least for now :p

Fake photos of the true video iPod have been circulating on the net for months now. This is nothing new. It is definitely fake.

Well, one thing is for sure. They sure wouldn't hang banners like that up at a conference where they're trying to reveal something. That's like having a big picture of the iPod at the door when the press first arrived to the unveiling of it.

Don't be so sure (I'm sure it's a fake though) but they hung the new silhouette banners all over the place when the 5G was released that showed aspects of the new design.

When does this whole shebang kick off? 10am Cupertino time?

Let's see then, carry the one, add two, price of fish at market is....

Oh great... 3am my time on Wednesday. Gawd, yet another sleepless night for a product I can't afford.

i don't think it's in ipod.... i think it's a 'multimedia streaming' device like this one:

http://www.sonos.com/products/?tref=ghome

it's one thing for apple to come out with a movie dload store, but i bet they take it the extra step and have the ability to stream movies to your tv. i know it's maybe a long shot, but it's there....

36 hours... :)

Typeface on banner is Futura.
Apple use a version of Myriad.
Conclusion = FAKE (whatever it is)

EDIT: Also the Apple logo is WAY too close to the edge of the banner, it also looks squashed! If Apple had done it the text would align with the ipod, would be in Myriad typeface and the reflection would not go off the edge of the banner. Also the cross formed by the 'search lights' would be more uniform. Oh and theres one more thing... Apple would never have two different products on one banner. Its blurs the target audience and so is not as effective at its job of selling.

Why aren't these things EVER in focus?

Hands trembling with excitement at unreleased Apple goodness!

Or, back in the real world, convenient way to hide crummy fakes.
