I lost my os disk for my macbook pro. I am fully backed up on time machine. How can I do an entire restore without the disk?

AFAIK, you can't.

You'd normally boot off of the install DVD and choose the option for a Time Machine restore.

If you really can't find your restore discs, call AppleCare. They can usually (for a fee) ship you new ones.

You need a system disk, go pick up a Snow Leopard disk for 27 bucks
