I heard that full screen was improved for Mountain Lion but so far it still seems to exhibit the linen pattern Lion fullscreen thing.

Am I doing something wrong here?

Exactly what is... "the linen pattern Lion fullscreen thing"?

The only full screen improvement in ML is the ability to select which screen the app appears on. You are still limited to one screen (aside from palettes and toolbars).

I'm assuming you're looking to know if it's improved it's support for multi-display setups and the answer is pretty much no. It allows you to choose which display your fullscreen app appears on but it still consumes both displays whether the app needs it or not.

This is a major bummer IMO and something I hope they figure out quick. Unfortunately that doesn't seem to be happening as it survived Lion into Mountain Lion obviously. Full Screen apps would be fantastic if they fixed this.
