Are there any case makers out there that do not reproduce the camera bump in the case so that the iPhone actually lies flat?

Apple's cases for the iPhone 12 had a "recessed" bump cutout to compensate for the height of the lenses, which made the case lie flat on it's back, but unfortunately they decided to do the opposite with the 13 case - perhaps because the lenses stick out more and they thought that would make the case too thick if they had a recessed cutout instead of a raised lip to protect the lenses.

Will be interesting to see if anyone finds a third party case designed like Apple's cases for the 12.

I use a case because I am prone to dropping my iPhone, but also because of the camera bump ever since Apple introduced it. I want my phone to lie flat on its back. Now, all the cases that I have seen for the 13s have bumps, too!!!

Here's a case that has edge bumpers that appear to be flush with the raised part around the bump, which would mean it should lie flat (not rock). This is only for the regular 13 (not Mini, Pro, or Pro Max):

Looks like the OtterBox Commuter series would also be flat:

These are great suggestions but what's out there that's minimal and lightweight? I haven't had luck finding these on my own.
For the case to not reproduce the camera bump, the back of the case would have to be at least as thick as the camera bump itself - so "minimal" and "hiding the camera bump" are going in opposite directions.

Maybe take a look at the Ringke Onyx, it just has small "legs" (bumps) molded into the corners of the case that are the height of the camera bump, so it lays flat.

You might consider a regular Apple leather case + Mag Wallet or Silicone case + Mat Wallet. It sits on the wallet, raised off the back by less than 1/4 inch and the camera bump is held off the table top or whatever you're resting it upon.

I was thinking something more along the lines of this. Not looking for protection, I prefer to be caseless naturally. I just wanted the back to be flush without adding bulk anywhere else. Been creating this CAD for a while. Might try to find a shop to prototype 3D printing it until I get the camera cutouts and thickness correct. But im astounded nothing like this has been made yet.
