It is very easy to determine the age and sex of the posters on this thread.

I think a good test of prank-worthiness (rather than mean-spiritedness) is if your friends would see the humor if it was done to them, and you weren't around for the next hour or so to fix it.

Another good test, this time of the difference between immaturity and humor, is how you react to the first test.

These are indeed words of wisdom.

Like someguy said, if you don't like the prank, don't bother posting. This clearly isn't your kind of thread, and there are threads out there for you. If you enjoyed the prank, then it's all well and good and you can laugh along with us.

What's funny to some people probably won't be funny to others. Does it really make sense to tell those people with different senses of humor to stop laughing because it's not funny to you?

One time I was eating at Geronimo(80 bucks a plate) with my girlfriend and we had this horrible horrible waitress, she was rude, slammed things down on the table and poured wine like an 11 year old Afghani boy.
I left her a 1$ tip and stuck it to the table with honey(glass table).:D

Thank you.

I merely posted for the people in the Mac community who understood the humor in this joke. Not to question its validity as a joke. I know it's funny to me, I just wanted to see who agreed.

Those who don't need not post.

I hear you all saying bad things about best buy but in thier defense I went to go buy a usb modem for my linux box and asked if they had any usb modems for non-windos...sadly no...but the sales guy actually said "like for linux or mac or something...maybe someday we can all get away from microsoft" :D

Luckily now all our PCs are locked down with the software they make us load on it.

The downside? They run slow as hell, and crash a lot. Vista and craptastic BB store software make a great combo of crappiness. :D

Not gonna lie, if you think inverting the colors of a macbook so that the sales people and possibly customers think they are unreliable, you are nothing more that a mac obsessed fan boy. Seriously, I think so of you people around here would give your life for Steve Jobs. Its almost bizarre, this mac cult.

Who cares, honestly. People are either going to buy a mac, or they are not going to. Easy as that. If they want to buy an Apple don't buy one because of a "messed up" one on display, then they are stupid. Surely they know the work it takes to maintain a PC.

This is just ridiculous. Give them a break, my god.

Edit: The way I see it (this is directed at all the overprotective mac cult warrior members), the point of this prank was not to make apple computers look bad, but for Best Buy sales people to look stupid.

Well, if you were disgusted in anyway by that prank, listen to this:

Go into a BestBuy store and install this on any Mac... iAlertU.

It's a motion sensing security system for your Mac, which can only be shut down by using a Front Row remote, and seeing that BestBuy leaves all the remotes in the boxes, it's gonna be hard for them to shut off. You can turn it on by either the Front row remote, or manually on the app. When triggered it lets out an alarm which is automatically made to sound at full volume. And in the end, when triggered, it locks the computer so you cant shut it down or do anything on it.

My experience:

Did the above and put the sensor on, walked away slowly and waited for an unsuspecting person to walk over, and eventually they did. It went off and the woman ran away LOL! 2 techies came by and after about 2 minutes of discusing what to do, they pulled the plug on the poor thing.

What a day :)
