Does anyone know how to make the function keys on a Logitech keyboard (K750 made for Mac) to act like standard function keys? Right now they control rewind, play, fast forward instead of F6, F7 and F8. there’s an actual “Function key” on the keyboard which you have to hold down in order to get them to act like standard function keys. (and unfortunately, the “Use all F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys” only seems to work with Apple keyboards)

Any ideas? Anyone?

The manual for the Windows version of the K750 mentions

  1. Using the keyboard F-key
Tip: In the software settings, you can invert the FN mode if you prefer to access directly the enhanced functions without having to press the key.*
* Requires SetPointTM Software (Available for download at www.logitech.com/downloads. Not available on Windows RT.)
It is possible that the analogous Mac software (probably Logitech Control Center) contains similar functionality. (When I sporadically used a logitech trackpad (it wasn't very good), I remember that LCC wanted to update itself constantly. And I'm sure that LCC, running under 10.15 will want every permission under the sun. But your keyboard may require this software to be installed anyway...)

Solved the issue. All I did was to install the Logitech Control Center and restart my computer. The Mac then recognized the keyboard and the “Use all F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys” works without even opening up the Control Center software.
