Ran into this gem just now when I should have been working. It sounds like this is the sort of letter Apple would throw in the trash immediately, but it is still a pretty funny read.

To me that sounds like the rantings of a computer-illiterate with outdated hardware.

Don't like the update? Don't run it.

P.S. The comments section on that page shows that she has quite the following of computer-illiterates yelling, "Yeah, me too!"

Yeah I didn't even smile while reading that. It just wasn't funny. Not in a "I'm offended by her statements" way, but in a "It's just not funny or witty in any fashion" way.

It might have been mildly amusing. Rather, all the cursing was just crass and made the author sound like a complete imbecile rather than a partial imbecile.

I wasn't offended but have zero sympathy for this person. I doubt anyone at Apple would left one finger to address this persons files.

As for the add-ons. I assume the author is using the Apple Software Updater and it is trying to get the author to install Safari, Quicktime &c.

Likely, and yes that nonsense on the Windows platform is annoying.

Protip: If we wanted Safari we would damn well install it

Sounds like a PC user to me.

I would bet my Macbook on it. And in that case, it's her own fault. ;)

Is it just me or what because I didn't laugh.

No, it's not just you. There was no humour whatsoever.

Agreed. And about the comments section, I suspect she will have moderated out all of the posts that disagreed with her.

I decided to update iTunes since i knew there was an update i was neglecting, just to see if she was at all right. The thing that took the longest was Software Update checking for new software. This took about 60 seconds. Then accepting the update to iTunes, typing in my password, and then it started downloading the update. This took the majority of the time, but it only took 2 minutes to download and update. In less than 4 minutes iTunes was updated easily and perfectly. She's complaining about issues Apple aren't responsible for.

Oh, and "Let's just say that I've heard from UBER RELIABLE multiple sources that you are a limited species."?! She doesn't even know what she's talking about, she's just repeating what other people have said. Useless.
