Fusion vs Pure SSD Heat and Fan noise.

Which storage will produce more heat and trigger the fan noise sooner ?
Also if I load up a lot of OLD files will the HDD be running with Fusion drive creating even more noise in a silent room especially when it gets to be 7 years old?
