The "low cost" iPhone should be named "iPhone 5S" and the normal iPhone should be called "iPhone 6" then if they make a new low cost iPhone every year it would be the "S" name and the regular would be a new number. Example: iPhone 6S = Low cost | iPhone 7 = regular
 
The naming doesn't even matter to me. They can call it iPhone x, does not affect peoples decision to buy.
 
so the iphone 5 would look visually similar to the iphone 6 but not the iphone 5s? wouldn't that be confusing?
