With the death of iPod nano and Shuffle, I'm concerned about iTunes working on these two devices. Both of which I still own and use for running.
In fact, I was hoping to pick up a 7th gen Nano.

I know my shuffle still works with the latest iTunes, but with it being a EOL product, I guessing support for it will soon fall by the waste side.

I don't think Apple's gonna drop support for them in iTunes any time soon. Heck the original iPod from 2001 still works with iTunes so needless to say that's pretty promising for the nano and Shuffle.

It still fine for my iPod classic (2009 - 160GB ver) in iTunes 12.6.
Don't worry about that.

Yeah, I think iPods are safe. Apple won't drop support for a long time. Heck, my Moto ROKR phone is still supported .. nah, just kidding. I wasn't that one guy that bought the ROKR.

Just tried my 4th gen nano, and it's still supported. I think Apple probably don't even want to mess with the old code.
