    Hi all
I guess this may have been asked before, but then I guess no one really knows. But I like to put whats on my mind here and hear peoples opinions.

I have been a Mac person for over 3 years now. On my 3rd Mac. Had a mac mini which I loved, but sold as I wanted something better, and got a MBP and then wanted something different and now I have a 2011 Macbook Air. Originally had a dell as my first computer then made the switch.

Love everything about macs and mac os's etc. I still feel I am learning each day with my mac the power of mac os x etc. However this has been on my mind and bit worried about how mac is going to be in the future. Now that Steve Jobs has gone. I mean from what I have read etc, when Steve Jobs first went from Apple the company was not doing too good, and then he came back and turned Apple around in to the great company it is now.

I know Tim Cook is meant to be good too. I also know Steve Jobs will give his input etc into how Apple will continue in the future. However when He does eventually go completely one day. How will the next Mac OS's continue. And the Mac it self in general.

Do people believe he has left a team who will continue to innovate and grow mac os's and apple as a whole and be a market leader as it is today. Or do you believe Apple will slowly go the way IBM did in the future and that Microsoft will end up being dominant again.

I am sorry if this sounds silly posting this, but something on my mind.

Thanks all for reading, sorry for long post.

OS X will continue to be dumbed down into an iOS like OS. The Air will take over as their top pushed computer. A touchscreen will be added to the Air. The Air and iPad will merge. Apple will only have iOS and touchscreen devices.

(Not really serious, but I woudnt be surprised to see something similar happen)

It does sound like he/Apple have put some thought into life at Apple after he's left.

    Melbourne, Australia
Macs and iDevices merged into one. It will be 'magical and powerful'

    In that one place
I do not doubt that at all.
10.8 will only run 64-Bit applications, the Mac Pro will unfortunately be phased out, all future Mac computers will not have an optical drive, the iPod Classic and Shuffle axed, Magic Trackpad with every desktop instead of a mouse, and lousy Flash/Java support until the end of time.
