future upgradability of current PB line?

Hi,

I'm pondering if to get a new PB or not. I need a laptop... Anyhow, what's the consensus on if the current line of PB will be upgradable to a possible G5 later on or some other "future processor"... or configuration (like the dual core, etc). I think that was one of the thigns that PB had going for it in the recent past was it's upgradability comapred to, say, iBook?

Sorry, if this info is easily available by searches.. I tried, couldnt find it.

Future upgrades will me memory & HDD only. There's pretty much nothing you can change beyond that (for both iBook & PowerBook)
