So I ordered a FW 800 Express card from firewiredirect.com and they messed up. It turns out that they are "back ordered", yet they fail to inform me that until several days pass by. Turns out NitroAV is a subsidiary of firewiredirect and the whole thing seems a little corrupt. I have read many stories of these kind of corrupt business' that usually operate out of Brooklyn. So I try to contact their customer support, they never reply to my emails after over a week. They claim to have "Online Live Support" that is actually always online and is automated, so it isn't even real people. They are out of Texas, so I for some reason expected it to be better service, than say a Brooklyn Camera shop. They seem to have given me my money back (unofficially, the debit just disappeared from my bank of america records), but I really don't know why it still says that my estimated delivery date is tomorrow, yet there is no tracking #. Sorry for the long rant. So they are out of the picture forever, I have seen a belkin one, but can't seem to find it for sale anywhere. Is there any FW 800 Express Card for my MBP available from a reliable store? 😕 Thanks in advance.
Update: Finally received it 2 weeks after the original estimated delivery date. It works fine, funny thing is, I still haven't been charged?!
I hope they messed up and thought they already billed me.
