They wouldn't pull it after officially stated it was only temporarily out in the earlier betas because they were tweaking it and coming back in beta 5. No need to worry about the scrolling and so on with the pencil anymore.

Btw, did navigation with the Pencil change at all from before? They said they pulled it because they were working on something, right?

I mentioned in a post just before beta 5. From what I heard on a podcast and if I understood what was said correctly. Touch and Pencil worked on two different layers. The Touch code that did things like the scrolling and such for navigation was pretty much just copy/pasted to the Pencil layer. What they were "making improvements" on was basically re-writing the Pencil layer specifically for the Pencil and not just a copy/paste from the "finger" layer.

Lol at all those here insisting they knew exactly why Apple pulled it, claiming it was no bug and done on purpose. Goes to show no ones more an expert than the rest.

Apple came out during beta 4 and said it was only temporarily pulled from earlier betas for the reasons of they were working on specifically the navigation portion of the Pencil. And not to worry because it was coming back in later builds before it got released....it's not anyone trying to be an expert. It's what Apple themselves said.

I agree. The point of my posting. Not aimed at you in the slightest mate, just using your quote.
I'm laughing at all those so called 'experts' here that thought they knew why Apple pulled it and they didnt, regardless of Apple's reasoning.it happens in so many posts here.
Its some people's arrogance here thats amusing. Their 'i know attitude', not 'i think attitude'. In general.

Obviously I don't have any evidence but I am pretty sure initially it was done on purpose. Their changed their minds after four betas because of the strong negative reactions from media and users. There are still situations where the Pencil navigation does not work, but people only seem to care about scrolling.

Don't be arrogant. People are free to have their own opinions about anything.

I also think they pretty much took the capability on purpose, of course you don't have any evidence you can only speculate. Every one of their recent fixes, updates & services that they have come out with were actually aimed at gathering goodwill and popular support from the users, the ones they claim to be fighting in the courts for, after all they do need it considering 51% of the US population supported the FBI.
