FYI for AT&T Customers (Data outage)

Just got off the phone with AT&T wifi support.

If anyone else is having problems with their 3G/EDGE connections and lives on the west coast (Specifically CA, OR, WA and Northern NV), there's an outage that's expected to last until about 2AM tomorrow.

When is this supposed to happen? So far 3G here still works (WA) and haven't seen a message on my OLAM yet. I hate DATA outages...
 
IM GLAD TO HEAR THIS!!! im n las vegas right now... originally from memphis tn.. ive been here for 10 days.. friday my phone died.. like wouldnt come back on.. saturday i got my replacement.. around monday my internet was acting kinda weird.. 3g connection was acting funny.. Internet was either blazing fast or non existant.. im glad to hear that its the network and not my phone
 
mine went down around 1 today.Thought it could be some mms thing like in the other post floating above. It's been better now hopefully its truely for alll the bandwidth those pesky pictures are going to cause.

I live in Vegas as well and I am a developer and have had MMS since the release of beta 2 of the new 3.1 OS. No hacks, no calling AT&T or any of the other tricks on the forum. So Vegas is ready for MMS it's just AT&T releasing a 4.5 carrier file or Apple releasing 3.1 which ever comes first

Yeah, my family was having issues up there earlier so good to hear. Working here now in OC, too.

(PS - That's funny, your location says OC but you're in Reno, while I'm originally from Reno and live in OC.)
 
I did notice a bit of slowing around 4:00pm in the East Bay near Berkeley Downtown BART station, and I couldn't get my emails, so I shutoff my 3GS and didn't turn it back on 'til I got home at about 7:15pm and I had about 20 emails and 10 text messages and 5 MMS, by then I was on WiFi. Spent most the day in San Francisco, so I didn't notice an outage....😕
 
It is still very slow for me @ 8am in the S.F. Bay Area. I'm on solid 3G, but it certainly doesn't feel like it.
 
Turned off 3G to access edge network

Work in downtown Las Vegas and had to switch to Edge. Amazing how use to 3G one gets.
 
This is OLD NEWS. It was posted already..... hours ago.

It DOES seem to be up and down in the Houston Area. I was just doing a Speedtest and 3G went dead for about a minute, and now back up. Speed is very erratic between tests.

Yea I moved here a few months ago, but could be moving back soon.
