Unfortunately no micro center near me. It's been difficult to find a retailer to offer the 48 GB configuration in the 14" model as well. Both Costco and Best Buy only offer it in the 16" model.

Took me awhile to find one. Did the same research you did. Grabbed a MBP 14 M5 48GB/1TB from Microcenter last week. Saw the price hikes and drove over there to get two more.

I would buy what ever you can afford at the cheaper prices online before they all adjust their prices. Good Luck!

Discount is gone for now. I got a $3910 MBP16 64GB/2TB last month that is now $5400.

Previously, MBP and MBA had 15% discount. With new prices, it was ~30% off.

I have a Microcenter close by, but their remaining stock was gone by noon. Word got out fast around here, apparently!

I grabbed one earlier. Wasn't a lot of fun, and sort of stressful. I hate being forced to act fast LOL

This was not a gradual price increase.

I just grabbed one from Costco for $1,549.99 MacBook Pro M5 16/1TB. Sale ends tomorrow. For this same exact spec, the cost will go up on 6/27/26 at $1749.99.

I plan to purchase MacBook Air M5 15 in 16/512 for my spouse tomorrow, hoping that they will still have them in stock.

Went for the 16" model, wasn't able to get a price match for the Microcenter but was able to price match the Costco price at a local BestBuy so it's substantially cheaper either way vs current pricing (that's including refurbished).

Nice, you’re so lucky! In Europe you can only configure the 14-inch with 48 gb ram through apples website, everywhere else you have to choose the 16-inch. So, I chose the m5 32 gb ram / 1 tb

Yeah it sucks most of my friends who want the 14" because they are usually hooked up to dual displays had to order and it was around 3900€ or something.

I've been watching MC prices very closely because they had discounts just a week ago. Then they cut the discounts by about half a few days ago. And then yesterday morning their website showed ALL were out of stock. I checked other MC locations and they all showed out of stock so I knew something weird was happening. I drove to MC and bought the config I was looking for, even though their website showed they were out. I know they had more inventory as well because I asked about buying multiple units, and they confirmed it's limited to 1 per household and I would need to bring a friend. By late yesterday afternoon, their website began to show the new price and inventory.

Kind of Apple to raise the prices after the 25th. Pay day in many countries. However it sucks for those who get paid in the 30th or final working day of the month!

They are helplessly watching the frenzy without being able to panick buy. Also not nice if you are planning to spend most of your disposable cash this month on a holiday.
